We present to you the new edition of the collection of scientific works “Features and Problems of Implementing Economic Reforms in Azerbaijan”, published by the Economic Scientific Research Institute (ESRI) under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan. This collection has made a great contribution to economic science and economic practice as an important publication that scientifically researches and analyzes the experiences, achievements and challenges of our country in the field of historical economic reforms. The concept of modern economy not only responds to global efforts for the transition to sustainable economic development, but also coincides with the national priorities of Azerbaijan for socio-economic development determined for 2030. This concept provides a way to ensure sustainable development based on the efficient use of natural resources, the development of environmentally friendly production areas, organic agriculture and economic growth in order to ensure progress and prosperity. Azerbaijani science will study the problems encountered on this path and actively participate in finding their original solutions. Thus, the application of the principles of the modern economic concept to economic planning and decision-making requires the implementation of significant reforms, the attraction of investments in technologies, the mastering of new skills by the workforce, the establishment of a strong legal and regulatory framework that can support and direct economic development, as well as the formation of new thinking in society. The new issue of the collection plays the role of a platform for the exchange of ideas and views around the modern economic concept, reflecting broad perspectives and problems on the challenges and opportunities related to the economy in Azerbaijan and the world. I express my deep gratitude to all those whose articles were included in the collection for their valuable contributions, and I hope that efforts for a greener and more sustainable world will continue in the future, adhering to the principles of solidarity and cooperation, both domestically and globally.
