Abstract

The article systematically examines the legal and economic aspects of the diversification of international corridors, the formation of logistics strategies in foreign trade relations and supply chains. A conceptual model of the coordination of elements forming the corridor system is presented. The article summarizes the theory and practice of the operation of international corridors, and the effective operation of supply routes in foreign trade is justified by the coordination of three components: physical infrastructure, legal regulatory framework and favorable economic conditions. An analysis of the current state of international corridors shows that even a geographically ideal route can lose its strategic importance due to restrictions related to sanctions, lack of a harmonization policy, increased security risks and other factors. The stability of the passages connecting the centres of economic activity to intra-regional territories and global trade routes, legal frameworks and the speed of formalization at border checkpoints are currently the main criteria for choosing corridor routes.
